So another speaker to add to my 'a lot better than I was expecting' list.

These came to me with rotten surrounds with a pile of other stuff.
They've been sat around for months until I could finally be bothered to replace the surrounds.
Did that this week. Wasn't expecting much given that they look like 90s Technics 2-ways with weird foam tweeters, and the drivers are a pressed steel basket with a piddly little magnet.

Plugged them in tonight and very pleasantly surprised. Tunefully bass, nice detailed top but without being tizzy. Not bad at all...

They've made some nice sounding speakers (and the odd dud ).

My little Infinity speakers from about 9 years ago, I think.

Ribbon hybrids - EMIM (mid) and EMIT (treble) ribbons in the top section.
12 inch bass in the bottom bit.
    Very nice, they were.
A bit of a boing in the upper bass was largely sorted by raising them a few inches.
