Nigel many thanks man, it is a bit of a shock when you're given just two months to move out because the owners want it back even though we pay six months in advance. The new cottage we were told was tiny but it's not. It's bloody gorgeous.

So glad you are keeping the NAS, I'd be lost without mine.

Great move. Selling my t/t 5 years ago with all the vinyl I had collected for around 25 years from the age of 16 was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made.

Costing me a fortune - even on the secondhand market - to rebuild my collection.

You'll need all the music you can get when ensconced in rural Lincolnshire ! (I jest, as rural Norfolk comes close). V. good decision, as no future regrets can impinge upon your bucolic life.

Thanks you guys. It is bad enough I may have to sell the Harley, selling the turntable and all of the vinyl is just beyond a joke but when we enquired about the cottage we were told it was tiny. When we viewed the place we found out that the lounge is 14' by 11' which I don't call tiny. It does have a slate floor though which may need covering with a nice rug. Also, I'm not convinced that our B&W's are going to be OK. Maybe a change to stand mounts is in order...?

I'm buying a house to settle the family in the SW, and there is a good chance my Monaro will have to go, whether to put more money into the house, not being able to justify £500 road tax and 18 mpg or just not getting the time to enjoy it (I'll be living at RAF St Mawgan during the week possibly). The Interspace Jr etc is going nowhere!
That lounge size is not tiny by any stretch of the imagination.

We will be going back to moving magnet and using the phono stage built into the preamp to simplify things a bit. So if the moderators here wish to remove this thread, please do.
Great news Shaun, the right choice.
