Default Wanted: High end vintage solid state tuner

I'm looking for a high end, solid state tuner from the mid to late 70s/early 80s era. Brands that spring to mind are Pioneer, Sansui, Kenwood/Trio, Yamaha, Accuphase etc. But it must be a top of the line model. Please drop me a private message if you can help. Thanks!

In the light of a couple of nice replies, to clarify, I'm looking for a Japanese high end tuner, not an esoteric British one.
