    IXOS IXOTICA

Not sure what model number this is to be honest

Original list around the £400 mark

last one sold online at £130

Not as bass heavy as the IX2. very clean and detailed sound without the edginess, closer sound character wise to the IX3

    £75 pay pal gift

I'm using 2 pairs of the Ixos IX2 at the moment - pre to buffer and buffer to power - and they look very like that photo!

    "Bass heavy"? Dunno about that.
But superbly transparent and dynamic. Great cables.

EDIT - actually I don't think mine are IX2 at all. Not the same as reviewed by TechRadar or as shown on Google Images.
Mine are the same as those for sale here, I think - and they are superb, imho!

These are a ltd edition pair of interconnects...I've just sold a pair recently...in a leopard skin patterned hardwood case...I think there was only 1000 pairs made...but don't quote me on that...I believe they were made as a posh demo set for a hifi show...and they are very very good....

The IX2 were slightly thicker cables with a white sheath Jerry and I used them for a year.

Sold them on to a Gent on this forum.

when I say bass heavy , I do not mean it in a negative. They pushed out a deep fully fleshed bass without the flabby overhang.

These as you say are extremely dynamic and transparent , closer to the IX3
As you well pointed out when I sold the IX3 these are in a different league to the lower priced IXOS cables and punch way above the weight

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”
