Beautiful work! Most impressive, you have a real talent! I’ve seen some ‘tables like this for sale elsewhere for a tidy sum, and yours is even better than stock.

Hope you don't mind me posting in your thread Jamie
Just received a Micro Seiki MA505 tone arm
I have been looking for a replacement arm for my SME 3009 mk2 but funds are tight at the moment due to a family wedding so noticed this one on Samari ebay for £280 so couldn't turn it down
Knocked up a new arm board out of alu plate

    Great looking arm

Had to fit some extra stainless steel washers superglued together and 3 pieces of copper wire to decouple them from the arm.
Love the arm heat adjustment and locking clamp, also has a nice adjustment on the tracking force anti skating and azimuth

Fitted the denon 103R and its sounding superb, I am really pleased with it much better across the frequency range than the SME which was good in the mids but no so great at the bass and treble
The MA505 sounds transparent and solid as a rock, great treble detail and good bass, mids are as good as the SME 3009
Overall Im buzziing great arm and bargain price for sound quality

A very nice looking arm and no surprise it's better than the SME. Really suits the TT.
