    i thought so yes,the pioneers standard mat however is very good i think, so i didnt get a huge sonic upgrade.
    to me the difference was a tightening up of the top end,some more detail also came through due to the sheer weight and damping of the mat.

    Did you already try damping your platter with the dynamat as I thought that has a similar effect as the original platter rings a bit

    i was put off using that as i did my old AR turntable with it and although i did indeed notice a difference months later i found the bearing had some play in it,im sure the 2 are not conected,ie the dynamat throwing the platter out of balance,but since then its put me off.

    if your concidering the tenuto mat my advice would be go for a new one,they hold there value second hand and the old ones are 3mm,new are 5mm which means for a few more quid its a no brainer.

    some good news,my PA-5000 tonearm is on its way back from phonomac after having a full strip down,rewire and bearing upgrade,pics to follow,i cant wait to set it up!

    yep,the timing is great,the PMAT-1010 mk6 ,if testing goes well should be available later this month,so i have time to get used to the PA again.
