Probably, but my Amazon HDMI cable is a 4.5m Redmere rated at 18gb. Cost £7.99 delivery included. Works really well with my 32" AOC 4k PC monitor at 60Hz refresh.

True the Monoprice costs only $8 but shipping is 5 times the purchase price.

I think I will sit on the sidelines for this one. It seems to me that the Redmere technology is great for long cables but if you have three foot hdmi cables between AV amp and telly like me, then its not going to make a huge difference.
I will wait for a few more comments on here when you have fitted them.

You're welcome. They do an even cheaper High Speed HDMI Cable using ultra thin cabling which may be a solution for those with wall mounted tvs with little cable clearance. Not sure that it has the Redmere chip but the specs would suggest so.

PS> It is not Redmere, it is a passive cable but the specs look good.

Thumbs up The happy state of system satisfaction...

Gaz, it's sound/sensible recommendations like this, about these cables (and your outlook below), which make you a credit to AoS!

I believe so. At least the first one. I think they are worth considering even for short runs as the cables are really thin and flexible. In fact on my Amazon 4.5m Redmere I cannot really believe that they can fit 19 strands into the cable. Redmere has been around for yonks and I think its merits are proven. The thing to look out for is the bigger plug at the monitor end to accommodate the Redmere chip, and the specs, 18gbps through HDMI2.0.
