    Default Tannoy Cheviot's singing sweet..!

Well bought a pair of Tannoy Cheviots.. never been touched, cone foams soggy and sticky Mmmm nice, cabs not bad condition but not great. Both working which had to be a start.
So refoam, recap and cleanup cabs.. won't take long...
Well 3 weeks and many hours later and quite a few looks from the Mrs with "and how much more have you got to do."???
They are singing very very sweatily indeed!

I'll post what I've done for anyone interested.
    Re foamed the cones
    Replaced the caps
    New bases
Refurbished cabinets and enhanced just a tad

The look absolutely fantastic. Love that finish on the front baffles. Superb work.

Walnut is the greatest of the furniture-related woods.

Oh, I dunno. I veneered a big pair of speakers I'd built with Indian Rosewood. It looked beautiful!

(they were Tannoy Lancaster cabinet copies)
