Default Luxman L-505uxII now at Radlett Audio

The new Luxman L-505uxII integrated amplifier has just arrived.

Something of a game changer at 3800, this amp has the build and performance you would expect from Luxman but at an affordable price.

    Pics and more to follow.

Sure is and sounds fabulous. It is also 'affordable' for many.

What continues to fascinate me with these Luxman products is how much you get for the money. The quality of everything - case, controls, circuitry and even the packing is way better than most home grown products which often cost a lot more. Look inside and they are stuffed full of premium quality components, which is why they perform so well and sound so good.

    Some specs to follow.

If I needed a stereo that would be attractive. Presumably the cost relates to IAG having their own state of the art factory in Schenzen. Ideal power rating, their bespoke attenuation circuit and a phono amp. Very nice package.
Is the phono amp up to scratch?

Luxman prices with the previous 'distributor' were a lot higher than through IAG, presumably because IAG now own the Luxman factory in Japan. I think the Luxman prices are very reasonable now and that was one of my considerations when I took on the range.

The phono stage is excellent by any standards, it's not just a facility tacked on. One of my L590axII customers owned a 4K UK valve based phono stage and considered the Luxman internal MM/MC stage was at least as good and sold the expensive phono stage, which helped towards the price of the Luxman.

A really lovely amp, but I can't stop thinking about her more exclusive and better looking sister

Rear shot, showing all the input, outputs and speaker connections. Plenty for everyone.
