    Default Teddy Pardo Power Supplies

    Audiocom are pleased to announce UK dealership for the Teddy Pardo power supplies for the Logitech Squeezebox Classic (SB3), Duet and Wadia 170 iTransport.

    There is also a linear power supply planned for the soon to be released Squeezebox Touch.

    The TeddySB3, TeddyDuet, etc, are designed around the new SuperTeddyReg and the incorporation of a very effective low-pass filter provides a theoretical ripple rejection of more than 120db over the entire audible spectrum and above 1MHz. Noise levels are extremely low, with approx. 57db noise between 1-20 KHz, that’s more than 1000 times quieter than the SB3 Switching Supply!

    The power supplies come equipped with a high quality cable made of silver plated PTFE insulated wires. The cable capacitance is around 13pF/ft, and its resistance is also very low, around 10 milliohm/ft.

    The Price for the TeddySB3, TeddyDuet & TeddyDock is £192.50 + VAT.

    Details on the TeddyDock can be found here;

    Hi

    Take a look at the noise measurements of the SMPS powering the SB3 against the TeddySB3;

    The following graph shows the noise level measurements of the original wall wart power supply (red line), an alternative power supply based on a Liner Regulator (blue line), and the TeddySB3 power supply (black line). The brown line is a zero Volt reference which is actually the measurement equipment internal noise . AS can be seen the TeddySB3 power supply noise level is very close to the zero Volt reference.

    Be interested in the same noise level survey taken on the spdif out of the SB with each supply. I suspect unless the internal switching regs are sorted in the SB the graphs will be very similar.

    No problem with Teddy's supplies, just the way the info is provided.

    Regards

    Chris

    Hi Kirk

    Did you buy the TeddySB3 before or after you had your SB3 modified by Boulder?

    Cheers,
