Just heard from Degritter that the retail price will be 2500 Euro and that might also be subject to VAT.

And me. Doubt it will be more effective than a Moth and I can buy 5 of them for that price.

The Loricraft is 5 times better than a Moth in my opinion (having had a Moth previously). I like the idea of having the ultrasonic option though as different kinds of cleaning may be appropriate for some really difficult cases.

If the Degritter is effective then I wouldn’t mind paying the price they are now quoting as I like the convenience that’s the machine adds.

Ive seen the Loricraft in action and do feel it would offer an excellent cleaning service but still lacks the convenience I’m looking for. The only other RCM that would tick the right boxes is the Clearaudio machine but I believe that’s over £3.5k nowadays.
Vinyl rig 1 - NAS Spacedeck / FR64s / Lab 12 Melto / Denon SUT / Ortofon GM SPU. Vinyl rig 2 Mono Set Up - Lenco GL75 c/w Jelco 750D / AT33 Mono / EAR 834P Modded. Amplifiers - Audio Note Empress Silver / Hattor Passive Pre. Digital - Fanless Mini PC / Lampizator TRP / Linear PSU / Hummingboard Network audio adaptor. Speakers - Horns.pl Mummy's. Cables are Audio Note / Albedo / Furutech Speaker wire. Power conditioner is a Gigawatt PC2 EVO

As RCM’s go, that Loricraft is a fine looking machine! But I’ve had a few and I am in love with my Project VS-C. But neither are ultrasonic designs, which is what we are talking about. I have seen high end record shops that own Audiodesk machines and charge a few bucks per record to clean them for you! I wish I knew of one right off hand, but I know they are out there. You could clean a lot of Records before you spend enough to buy the machine. Or, own an RCM and only send the very worst out to be cleaned by one of these Audiodesk owners? I feel it is a very promising principle, but perhaps it isn’t fully realized just yet? And perhaps the question is, how much is my collection worth? As to whether or not the machine is worth the price to own? I wouldn’t want to spend $2K for a machine to clean $3K worth of Records, just buy new Records! But if you have an extensive library of albums with many irreplaceable selections, it may be worth every penny. And while the Degritter appears to be a thousand bucks more than the Audiodesk, it may not take long to spend the difference in consumables, or trying to keep the Audiodesk working? As far as the Degritter is concerned, personally, I would wait for it to hit the market, and wait to see how it is received, and what the cost of ownership turns out to be. The second generation is almost certainly going to be a better unit.
