Lots of gear at the boot sale this morning almost all of it from a single house clearance, Cambridge CD players, Arcam Alpha tuner, Sony surround amp, cheap Sansui record deck with no stylus, Pioneer EQ, Technics cassette deck, Wharfedale and Celestion speakers and assorted other bits, I got myself a Pioneer PDR 609 CD recorder and a Panasonic DMR-EX77 DVD recorder, bit worried that there was a fault with the hard drive, but managed to get it fully working and it turns out the hard drive had never been used to record on. I also picked up a couple of Sony twin deck CD recorders, a RCD W3 and a RCD W100, I have a friend who's asked me to look out for one, I thought two would be better, I did leave a third one behind. It's a shame tomorrow's going to be rained off as today was perfect weather, I usually travel further afield on bank holidays.

Last boot sale I went to, all I picked up was Miles Davis CD for 50p.

But who needs boot sales? My fiancé's neighbour has just put out a box of nearly 50 CDs for collection as refuse, and all are in excellent condition About three quarters of them are not to our taste, so they will go to a charity shop. But the rest are good and a nice find.
Have you listened to this month's choice in the Album Club?

Just back form a boot sale and bag a Nakamichi CR-4 for £20 just testing it and I think it sounds better than my DR-2.

Nakamichi at a boot sale is a great find, I saw a fair bit of stuff today, only bought a Rotel RA-931 Mk II for £20, just because I have a soft spot for Rotel amps, the most interesting thing I saw was a fantastic Telefunken radiogram, incredibly stylish and well designed with chrome support/legs and sliding top, unfortunately I can't find a picture online, I just don't have room or a need for it, but at £35 I probably should have taken a punt, I did pick one of these up though, a tenner well spent and not something I thought I'd find at a boot sale: https://www.discogs.com/Jim-Williams...elease/4038015

I have the equivalent of a giant car boot sale and its called ebay. Everything I have ever thought of has been on there at some point

Ive never seen any decent hi fi equipment at the local car boots within say a 15 mile radius.

I have never found the car boots are worth the effort of attending. If its a nice day and Im bored, I might pop along and see whats going on
