Default Caiman SEG power on or off?

Are you leaving your Segs powered up 24/7 or turning off when not in use?

I do like to leave mine on, but have a concern I might be shortening its life.

I leave mine permanently on. Only switch it off if I’m swapping cables.

Turn it off! It's a complete myth you need to leave your gear on 24/7. It will take some time to warm up and then stay that way

    I agree.

Leaving equipment on just ages components and the fire risk from unattended electronics may void house insurance.

I wasn't thinking of SQ, more the longevity of the electrical components within the SEG.

I suspect it's 'horses for courses' some components last longer when turned off, whilst others are more likely to fail by continually being turned on and off.
