Default Sparks - The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman

Just finished listening to this, their 22nd album. Sheer genius.

Check it out on Spotify if you fancy an hour of challenging, engaging, witty musical fantasy. You can listen to the whole thing - it's one track, 64 mins long. A story in which Bergman goes to se a blockbuster and walks out of the cinema to find himself in Hollywood... a great satire on the cultural differences that are often wider than the ocean that separates us.

Wavy grooves go thru a RigB 540ML on an SL1500C. Digits stream from a cheapie CDP and a Sonos, into a Yamaha 803D driving Kralk Audio little 'uns. I used to have a Linn but I'm better now.

Just got this in the boxed set (English vinyl, Swedish vinyl and English CD).

    Stunning.

Straight into my all time top 20 which, oddly, now contains the seductions of both Ingmar Bergman and Claude Debussy.

    Tis brill, innit?

Strangely enough the version marked as Swedish on Spotify is the English one and vice-versa, for the first couple of listens I thought 'Wow - really avante garde, not even doing it in English' - but even not understanding it I still thought it amazing.
