Update: 'layers of beauty' Russ Collinson plinth has arrived and been installed.
A thing of beauty and workmanship of the highest order. Thanks Russ.
Complete with 2 arm boards, it's kinda large!, but the Mrs likes it as much as I so all is well!
Next on the shopping list is a 9"arm for the second board, maybe a Jelco SA750.
And then a Mono cart or even an SPU ...
    Sounding fabulous.

Again thanks to Russ for a beautiful plinth, Tom of this parish, for the endless essential advice and the inspiration, Ray at Classic for the paint job and Johnnie7 for the arm work, without them
I'd have been stuck putting this lovely thing together.

    Thumbs up

The Garrard looks fantastic in this plinth! I bet it sounds every bit as good as it looks.

Thanks chaps .. it sounds as good as it looks!
I have a slight problem ATM with the bass hanging boom loop
If I whack the volume right up, tbh higher than 'normal' listening levels, so feet choice
And final placement of the turntable will be vital to overcome this issue.
But at sensible levels ...it really sings.

Still a question how to 'feet' this deck.
I suppose an isolation platform would be preferable
But the plinth is 590mm wide, that would a seriously big platform !?
Is there a good DIY solution or is that a nonstarter?

Why don't you try an inflated bicycle tube?
