    Yes man, I did exactly the same and it immediately tripped the protection on my Audiolab monoblocks.

    When trying a 'line out' connection, it might be wise to insert a stereo pot at minimum setting between the line out and whatever is to be tried with it. A passive pre-amp will do the same.
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    It depends what the 'spec's' were when the Amp was built. Glenn makes them all to order and if a 'buffered' Line Out has been asked for then he does add a Valve Buffer stage.

    I thought the fixed line out would allow the Croft 25 to be used as a phono stage into a line input on another (presumably line only) pre amp.
    Is that wrong?
