Default My new cabinet has arrived.

I've been after something lockable and big enough to keep both my valve and ss systems in safe from prying fingers. My Quadraspire QKAV has just arrived but it's a bit bigger than I expected. It rather dominates the room. Not sure what SWMBO will say when she gets home later...

That's a little unfair. It takes effort to achieve a 'soft focus' image like that.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Is that the cabinet you mentioned you may get Lawrence?

Hopefully you can now use some of the yummy valve stuff you showed me but could not use for fear of your children barbecuing their fingers.

Since I dropped my phone the auto focus doesn't work, so it wasn't a great deal of effort to produce such a "romantic" effect, but it was rather costly as I'll have to buy a new phone doh.

It is, sadly there's not enough room for the valve pre and monoblocs, tv stuff plus the rest of my system, but at last I've got the former all set up, and I have to say it sounds very good, even with an Arcam alpha 7se as the source. It will take some ingenious placement to get the olive and dac inside, but no room for my Yarland integrated or ice power amp. I might have to find another solution for everyday listening (ie grabbing 30 mins of music in the week between getting the kids to bed, eating and getting myself to bed) like a small integrated..
