Default No more mike new bearings!

Well it would appear unfortunately that there are no more bearings to be made by Mike. So who will make such an item again I'm thinking, surely someone has the skills, expertise and machinery? Looks as though a gap in the market could be filled to me.....hopefully.

There are several alternative products available, such as the IanMac, the Funk Spin and the Inspire HiFi bearing.
Plenty of choice for a relatively small market.

Aye I'm aware of the alternative units but twas the Mike new bearing that really appealed, not just a re-jigged stock unit I'm afraid. I may visit local precision engineers to talk.....wish me luck!

His bearing is a work of art - not to be duplicated.

I feel privileged to own one.

The Funk bearing has been designed and built from scratch. It is not a tweaked original bearing. It is very good, as is the Mike New, but I kept the Funk. Sonically there is not a massive difference, but in my set up the Funk just edged it.

    Default Availability of bearings.

Hi audio al I did give Mr new a pm regarding quantity of his bearings,...no reply so I assume there are none available. Hope you might help keep an ear open for a second hand unit for sale and pm me if you come across one. Many thanks ll
