    How interesting Edward, would love to hear them. Will the frequency disturb all the hounds in the area?

    interesting!

    Hopefully Taket are following this thread so if they wish to send me a unit I will be happy to review it.

    could be but i have no shindo manual to compare:

    Feature;
    1. This set is for exclusive unbalance type of amplifier. It mixs the signal of L an R channels faintly by connecting both output + terminals of amplifier.
    2. You can control the soundstage by rotate the switch on the front panel.
    OFF( no connection ) -> STEREO -> Linear control -> MONO(wide center in stereo soundstage)

    note 1; MONO is not real monaural. and the parts of sound keep thire same point on stereo soundstage.

    The reason I say was that one Shindo pre I borrowed sounded like it was double-mono, lush sound but sound stage shrunken down -with a 'wide centre' as described in the quote.

    Within JRiver's DSP engine there is a function that does similar of mixing channels etc. Will give it a play.

    Meantime I managed to grab some listening time with the Batpure thingamajigs - I'm getting increased clarity in micro details, more 'air' and 'sparkle' across the range. Attack and decay seems just that more 'natural'.

    What I'm not getting is 'why?'. It just seems non sense.

    Baffles me too. Supposed to be way lower sensitivity than my HPD315a's. But they have an effect.
