I bought a pair on here not so long back, but haven't got round to using them.

I'm getting a bit hard of hearing so time to sell them.

I'd love too, that would also give me the opportunity to hear some Canterbury's! Unfortunately not driving and being mainly responsible for 2 darling children means a trip out for the day is a major logistical exercise for me!

So my plan with these super-tweeters is to rig up something simple and quick and see how they perform. If they are all they cracked up to be I will follow a cunning plan someone suggested in terms of cabinets etc.

Thanks Paul for the Batpure tweeters which arrived this morning. Nicely packed.

Rather than messing around with a suitable casing etc I used my old favourite BluTac and some wire hanging around. Ten minutes later they were up and running.

Only temporary mind you.

Initial impression? Not a big difference, probably a subtle change. Now the following may well be expectation bias creeping in but I would say that SQ gains some added clarity and focus. Imaging just that bit more accurate. Sound feels like it has come forward a tad.

I will run as is for a few days and then remove and see if change again detected.

By the way why are the neighbours suddenly complaining about their cats and dogs howling?

The advice I got (FWIW and I don't know if there's any science to it) was to use very thin wire. This looks quite thick.
