Along with the new 4K Oppo, sorted for movies and AV.
Had a 4K itch for a while after seeing the improvement, wanted to do it once and that's it done.
Putting it up on wall this week as I'm off work.
Still enjoy a bit of PC gaming, have an Nvidia Shield TV box network streaming the PC to the big telly in 4K...who needs an Xbox for gaming?

Need to get the troops over in the New Year, a fair few changes since last time.

    Nice Gaz.

Very nice , although I have an OPPO 4k my current TV isn't old enough to warrant a change so I'll have to wait till I view some 4K movies.

Just looking at that TV in John Lewis. It is stunning and makes most LCD TVs look ordinary. OLED is definitely the way to go from what I saw. The Sony OLED also had great sound with some interesting panel technology ?

Is this the 55 inch Gary?

    Its the 65 James.

Yeah, Sony call it their “Acoustic Surface” technology?
No speakers on the telly, there is a bar running along the back with 2 pairs of vibrating actuators which vibrate the glass panel itself to produce the sound.
    The screen IS the speaker.
A subwoofer in the stand/wallmount at the back takes care of the bass.

No effect on picture stability as sounds are high frequency and the Sony men in white lab coats say theres no impact on lifetime of the panel.

Heard it LOUD in John Lewis, very clear, pinpoint placement and deep tight bass.
Works by magic I think, really cool stuff.

With 4K material that really is going to be an awesome xmas present. Enjoy!
