    Default Squeeze

Squeezebox question. Hope (l’m sure) someone can help. Is there a way out of the update never ending cycle? Where the controller always wants to be on the same firmware as the PC. I’ve updated to 7.9.0 but both the Touch and my controller are telling me that 7.8 is available to update to. I want to stay on 7.9. It’s not a problem on the Touch because I can swipe it aside and continue as normal but the controller is stuck on the update screen. Thanks.

    Update both.
7.8 is the firmware version, so the Touch and the Controller will need it updating.
Leave the 7.9 LMS software on the PC alone.

Thanks Chris. Will do. I had thought by updating to 7.8 I was undoing 7.9, obviously not the case.

My software level for LMS is 7.9.1, and it's running on a Raspberry Pi with piCorePlayer installed on it.
The two Squeezebox Touch players are on firmware 7.8.0

The firmware and software levels do not have to match.

Yes, thanks. I just remember ages ago getting stuck in a similar cycle when something was constantly out of step until they were both on the same version. I’m not sure which pieces of hardware they were now. Cheers anyway.
