    Hi
After being very impressed with Marcos tda dac yesterday,I have a question to ask to those who may know.I have a Revox b226s cd player on which the draw mech has failed,is it reasonably simple to convert this machine into a dac ,or is it best left on the shelf ,or converted into a top loading machine? This model is fitted with a s1 crown chip.
    Regards Dave.

    Hi
Thanks for the info, the swing arm mech is ok,its the slide rails for the draw that have fallen to bits. They seem to be made of mazak or somesuch material and warped and then the metal eventually crumbled to bits. Its still possible to use with the lid removed ,with the draw drive belt removed it can be used as a top loader.Dont know how these machines figured in the sound stakes, but apart from the shite drawer seem to be well made and have something of a reputation regarding sound quality.
    Cheers Dave.
