    Default Hello

Hello, been lurking for a while but thought I should introduce myself before offering to buy Speedracer's RB300*...

I like mostly jazz these days but still find that hard to admit to.

Prefer records, but since getting a Rega DAC I'm fine with digital. I have a couple of Thorens decks, a new (to me) Gyro and Harbeth C7s. I don't do a lot of box-swapping - Harbeths are only the 2nd pair of speakers I've owned, apart from those on the '80s MIDI system I had for decades - but I do like farting around with record players.

    Cheers,
    Sean

*Edit: Oh right I don't think I can do anything in the classifieds for a while.

    Enjoy the forum,

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Thanks Geoff, Hugh. I'm very pleased with my setup now that the Gyro's settled in, don't have any immediate plans, other than getting my TD125 up to scratch. At some stage curiosity will drive me to try another amp in the system, and further down the line there are some speakers I want to hear (Obelisks, ESLs, NS1000s), and decks too (a good idler and a good direct drive). And of course loads of different cables .
