    How odd - presumably the fuse wasn't in the output then.

    Fuses can be almost anywhere but between the power supply and the audio circuit is probably most common.

    Just an update, I've checked this over, there are no fuses at all just an overcurrent trip on the mains input. There are protection relays on each output.

    Seemed to be distorted on first test, may have been poor connections. Once set to stereo and bypass filter it is working.

    Lucky escape I think, it was being used in bridge mode so no short to earth/common
