Me too, Adrian. Love the dark and eerie vibe they created! I actually find watching them rather comforting, most probably as a result of nostalgia. I've also never been one for 'cheery' films... And if I watch a comedy, I prefer it to be a black one
Well...... Tales From the Crypt was very good. I've always liked these compilations of spooky tales, and this one was a cracker!
Creepy factor: 8

Some of my favourite films of all time are on that list
I will be continuing the 'creepy films' theme. It's just that I've been busy around that time for the last couple of nights, but hope to resume matters tomorrow.
Marco.

I've seen almost all of those on the list. Some are a waste of celluloid others are great and a few, like the fog, are classics of the genre and time. IMO

Ok, tonight's selection of cobwebbed creepy classics, slightly later than usual, comes from 1971, where something very sinister is happening in this particular dwelling.....

Well, that one was fab and ticked all the right boxes, significantly due to the plethora of good actors featured, coupled with great story lines and the ubiquitous infectiously eerie music, one only encounters in films of this genre and era. Wonderful stuff!
