    Default WTD: pair old 12AU7

looking to try some different valves in my pre - have some Mullard and JJ, looking for something different 12AU7 or early 5814A. Neutral clean dynamic sounding and not much warmth. matched or close pair. Nothing super exotic though.

I have some NOS TV valves if any one is looking for swaps

I've found Jan Philips to be as you describe, but not specifically tried the ECC82/5814.

when I last listed - plus some unsorted loose ones. to be honest the orginal plan was to keep them - you never know when they might be of use. Some of the HiFi related ones have been tested, but all those tested showed new or as good as.
