Default WANTED: MC or MM Cart for Ittok

My Dynavector 10x5 has finally given up the ghost and so I'm in the market for a new cart for my LP12/Ittok phono stage is Trichord Dino. Budget is around the £300 mark I don't really have a preference at this point either MC or MM considered. Obviously the lower hours the better and where possible a definite idea of hours please.

    Hi
I have a Zyx R100 H with less than 200 sides on it which sounds lovely.
The only problem is that I put a crack in the plastic body by the mounting lug when I over tightened the bolt. It’s been repaired but it looks a bit tatty but in no way affects the sound. It also has. VPI headshell weight bonded to it as these really need a bit more mass and the OEM Zyx one is stupid money. Total mass is 5.6g.
Because of the appearance you could have it for £300.
I’d be happy to take it back for the cost of postage if you couldn’t live with the aesthetics.
I have the original box and bag.
    Steve

For me, this is a "no brainer". The Linn carts were superb anyway, it they were fab beyond words when you put them in an Ittok or Ekos

Ittok should mate nicely with Benz Ace SL ,
I own couple Benz carts and Zyx R50 Bloom , if I were to choose one I think Benz has an edge on Zyx but it depends on the music genres I guess

    In what way ?

I ask due to interest and not argument. I recently considered selling my ZYX but didn't know what to get next.

    A Yatra!

More of all the good stuff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I’d say Benz seems to be more “refined” more complete ,don’t get me wrong Bloom is a great cartridge but it seems like is trying to do everything in the same way , fast with massive dynamics which is good for rock & pop ,but it doesn’t diversify much different genres .
When switching to Benz everything seems to be more polite, slower pace , you don’t sit on the edge of the chair anymore , but it’s just an illusion , it kicks when is needed and the best think about is the way it presents voices ,I think stereophony is on higher level as well .Benz is a story teller while Zyx seems to be a showman. Not much difference soundwise between Wood SL an Ace SL , all above IMO obviously.
