    Default At33ptg/II arm height question

As I've ordered the At33ptg/II for my Sl1200g. I've noticed that the Technics manual says the minimum setting on the arm VTA is 17mm, the AT cart is 16mm. Should I just use the lowest setting or do i really need a spacer?

Also should I use the Technics Bearwald Arc Protractor for best alighnment available on vinyl engine.

I used to use the Rega or Nima protractor but now realised that it's the wrong one!

I would fit a bigger spacer, as it gives more room for adjustment.

I got a 4mm high density graphite one from eBay, but a sheet of suitable material will do.

Most Hi-Fi dealers will stock those and they are available on ebay.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Use what you like, as long as you have bolts long enough, although that one is expensive. There are cheaper decent options on ebay. I just make my own, they are simple enough to fabricate. Fancy materials are basically just 'bling'.

Personally, I'd say paying more than a tenner is daft.

Okay, Thanks. I'll try it without for a while as we're only talking 1mm, less than most record warps.
