I love the tenuto platter mat but in my 1210 I thought that the analogue studio glass platter mat eeked out slightly more details over the tenuto Mat when I experimented on my 1210. I appreciate that was several years ago, it's a different deck and by the sounds of it a different version of the tenuto. Just sayin....

I'm glad for you, it's nice when that happens. I only mention the analogue studio mat as its a cheaper priced alternative that will probably do 95% of what a tenuto mat does.

Absolutely right to mention it mate. If you can get 95% of the performance for less money I'd absolutely suggest it.

You're a guy who would know too !

A great deal of the sound of the Tenuto can be apportioned to the material (gun Metal) It should be noted the subtle yet significant other important factor is the profile. The Tenuto has a 1mm drop from run in to run out groove allowing the record to 'sit' correctly on the mat.
Beware the lollipop of mediocrity; lick it once and you'll suck forever.

Indeed. It's a very well designed bit of kit.
