    Good stuff,

I've just contacted puresound after hearing a rumour he has some blemished stock of the Tenuto. Hoping for a heavy discount lol

Lucky you, rare as rocking horse poo, I use a copper mat on my Denon and like it much more than the rubber mat. The platter on the Denon is two piece and damped so don't see the point of a thick rubber mat too. I use record puck I made to stop slipping when cleaning, it's not overly heavy.

Garage system another Sony receiver, cassette deck

Yes indeed. Picked one up for £225!!! That half the retail price for a few blemishes.

I waited 6 months for the tenuto mk 2 for my sp10 - worth the wait and the money.

    Mine should be here Wednesday

Ye I heard one at Phonomacs place. Very impressive. Guy is the third person to say it gets a MK2 right up close to a MK3 so I've very excited

I Know, they're a lot of money. They were around £325 a while back but they were 3mm. Now they are 5mm they are up to about £400. Those are the words straight from the horses mouth.

It'll be the last one I buy though.

5mm wow heavy. My copper mat is probably 2mm. Don't know what difference thicker will make on solid metal,

I presume less resonance? The SP10 MK3 has a really heavy platter and apparently this gets you closer to that level due to the added weight. I am assured that it will have no negative effect on the motor which I'm pleased about. Obviously lol.

I've never read a negative review and having heard one on an SP10 I can confirm they are too quality. Everything improved.

It's not only about resonance suppression but also speed stability during play. Once that chunk of gun metal plus the already heavy platter get going very little can stop it and certainly nothing on vinyl - so better transients, leading edges etc.
