Thumbs up FS Firebottle 2 valve phono stage.

Selling this rather marvelous phono stage as i need the money. This particular phono stage is rather special and rare as rocking horse droppings. Built for me by the man himself there are to my knowledge only two like this in existence the other being balanced configuration. The Firebottle two has a separate power supply and easily configured for either moving magnet or moving coil cartridges by means of moving internal pegs. Instruction sheet is included. Valve line up PCC189 (rear) PCC85 (Front) Tarkman CF resistors and Mundorf ZN capacitors.

    MM input impedance 47K ohm, 150pF. Gain 40db @ 1KHz
    MC input impedance 100 ohm, 1nF. gain 62db @ 1 KHz.
Output impedance <150 ohm minimum recommended load 10K ohm
Copper ground plane construction with short signal paths
Regulated high tension supply. surge protected DC heaters.

£450 plus shipping to UK address.

Last picture showing rear view of phono stage in situ. This really is an absolute bargain. Don't miss out. lovely sounding piece of kit.

I'm pretty sure the Firebottle will be superior, I compared the original 2 box Firebottle Plus to a Trigon Vanguard II, a Whest 20.2 and it best them both, for my system anyway. This Firebottle will be even better

How would this compare to an Arkless? I am wondering how valve and SS compare. I currently have a passive pre amp and then active speakers so not sure if valves would work well with the passive pre

I'm currently using another of the excellent Firebottle phono stages with a passive pre amp and can only recommend the combination.
