But Grant I thought I read somewhere else that you were a selected user in the Spotify HiRes beta test. Maybe it was someone else.
I was but I defected to the Deezer one and now use their hifi. Tidal works on more units including my oppo so I might go back to it. I currently filling out my tidal album lists in case I do. Lol

I'm going slightly off topic for this thread if I may? Adam and I discussed the inability of exporting one's Tidal library selections to another Tidal user easily. Playlists are ok, but not the actual libraries (artists, albums etc). Do you know if there is way?

While not jazz, this is also by Branford Marsalis: Romances for Saxophone

He's playing with the English Chamber Orchestra and Tallis Chamber Choir, music by Faure, Satie, Rachmaninov, Ravel and others. A rare recording of a saxophone soloist playing with a classical orchestra. He really pulls it off. Ignore the schmaltzy album title and cover photo. This is good music, well played.

As far as I know, it was his only segue into classical, unlike his brother Wynton.

I still have that on vinyl , bought when it first came out. at the time I loved it, but put it on again recently and surprised myself by finding it too cheesy.

Actually, Branford plays a lot of classical sax these days. He does a lot of the classical repertoire. On alto, with full orchestra.
Does it very well, and he is a much better player than he was back then, but classical sax is not my thing these days.
