Whilst I have dabbled over the years with Jazz I have only scouted around the perimeter. This thread is being a real eye opener. I have sampled a few of the albums mentioned here and realise that I have missed out on so many years of experience and knowledge. A whole new world is opening up.
I've particularly enjoyed Soul Station by Hank Mobley which has been a revelation.
So thanks to all who are contributing to this thread.

Please Check out 'Practical Arrangement' (a sting original, which is, imho, shite by him)
A classic case of a cover being a million times better than the original (I feel a thread coming on!)
