I'm no Sinatra fan either, but much to my surprise, my daughters developed a liking for his music, and that while still in their teens. Go figure! From indie to a crooner...gotta love that!

Here in Toronto we are very lucky to have a 24/7 local jazz FM radio station, 91.1 (Jazz.fm on the web if you want to stream live). Every Saturday they broadcast Jamie Cullum's BBC 2 show which I enjoy listening to. Well this weekend Cullum played this track, Nancy Wilson singing Ode to Billie Joe, which I just loved:
Before he played it, he noted that the arrangement was outstanding, and I would have to agree. The building tension and angst makes for a terrific piece of music.
