    Default super tweeters and 57s

Brian popped round today to let me try his taket supertweeters with the 57s.....he left without them!!!

All the reading I had done about them is true-I was very happy with the sound my system made....now with added fairy dust.

    Well worth a try IMHO.

    Thanks Brian!!!!

Fingers crossed my good lady doesn't notice them.

It's OK mate I'll phone later and tell her

    Just ordered another pair

Thanks for the hospitality Tony , the 57s were sounding excellent when I left your place . The little Takets certainly bring something to the SQ which is not difficult to hear . What I heard today was improvements in all areas of SQ when they were put into your system . Enjoy mate .

    You have PM Tony .

I own 57's and would not say they lack trebble , Cant get my head around this "What I heard today was improvements in all areas of SQ when they were put into your system "

How can a super tweeter do this in all areas ?

Interestingly the brain’s response to treble can alter how it perceives the rest of the frequency range. This is because the treble is where ‘space’ and ‘air’ are produced.

And Martin said the other day that the bass is where the ambience lies if I recall.

So I'm suggesting the midrange is what gives perspective and positioning.

There you go. The whole frequency range accounted for!!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Yup , tightened up the bass and improved the midrange too . Don't take my word for it , why not try a set and report back here .
