Smile FS: EPOS EPIC 5 loudspeakers in black- superb condition, boxed.

    Hi,

My Dad is looking to sell his EPOS EPIC 5 floorstanding loudspeakers in black.

They are in superb condition and come with all the accessories and are boxed.

Any interest out there at all?

    £250 (£750 when new).
Located just off J28 off the M1 (Riddings, Alfreton)

They look like this and sound terrific.
They are supplied with two different front covers as shown below.

A well written review here http://i.nextmedia.com.au/avhub/aust...view_lores.pdf

Thanks for posting . They also come with plain black acoustic fabric grills over front top half and then look darkly elegant .Review is very fair IMO . They have been demoed at Scalford and Bakeoffs (with good reception ) . Cleanly Dynamic thro available range .

Excellent speakers IMO, I do not hesitate in recommending them. I have their successors, the Elan 30's, and they are terrific mid-sized floorstanders. Great value.
I like everything really. From the britpop bands like UB40 right back to classic rock, like Wings. They're only the band the Beatles could have been.

Heard with various amps . Personally I liked the Hegel thro them- it really drove them hard in a tranny sort of way. But others really enjoyed them with valves eg Icon with EL34 s which rattled a hanging mirror ! . Currently powered by big Studio Yamaha . Little Rotel amp also gave good account .They are easy to live with! Beginning to realise I'm going to miss them! But I have small room and my new ( as in 1970's ancient) B W s are bigger simply no room .
