FOR SALE - Bryston BP26 Preamp and Power Supply - Excellent condition.
My Bryston BP26 and MPS-2 power supply is up for sale (the partnering 4Bsst2 power amp is also for sale).
The amp is in excellent condition. It does have a peculiar red/purplish tint to the front plate which doesn't really stand out that much. For the best sound you are supposed to have the pre and power away from each other so you notice this even less if they are separated. (I found they did actually sound better in this configuration). I've spoken to Bryston about this and they say it could have happenned in the production stage. It does have 12 years of warranty left on it (manufactured in 2009).
The power supply is also in excellent condition with just a couple of small 'rub' marks in the finish on the top plate but the front is immaculate with not a mark.
It sounds brilliant and would partner most good quality power amps.
It comes with it's manual, remote (doro) and original factory packaging.
Price I would be looking at is £2200 which would include UK shipping.
