BTW BP water = British. EP water = European just to save any confusion, there both the same quality. There are many reputable DI manufacturer's ,but also many who are not,I once measured a Hydrochloric acid level of 2% in the product water at one site, the client didn't give a toss and was still selling it on,if DI plants aren't serviced the diaphragm's in the chemical line valves disintegrate and the resin requires replacing every few years,IME if this doesn't happen it can lead to all manner of problems.

At BP/EP sites if I found a problem they would shut the plant down, rectify whatever needed fixing and re-validate before going back into production after the water had been had been tested by an Independent laboratory.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I use a mix of RO water & L'Art du Son, no surfactant needed. I use RO (reverse osmosis) water in preference to DI because it is much purer, & has the benefit of being cheap, £2 for 20 litres from tropical/marine fish shops.

RO is preferable to DI as it can remove up to 98% of the bacteria present which DI doesn't,how ever unless you know what the conductivity ( measured in micro siemens the lower the better ) is then again you will have know idea what you are buying,RO membranes also require maintenance and replacing otherwise they can fail.

I use contact lens solution for cleaning on my Moth. I have a endless supply as I never use it all with my lenses.

If its good enough for you eyes its good enough for records.
