Can't say it has ever bothered me in the slightest. Always thought the 'Parental Advisory' stickers were possibly the most ridiculous thing ever. All the shit in the world and people want to protect their children from hearing rude words. As if that is even possible in any case.
Totally with you. Only takes 1 minute online to uncover FAR worse with extreme ease.

ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

Always exceptions to such rules, though.

Take Plaistow Patricia by Ian Dury ad the Blockheads. The "obscene" intro sentence really sets the scene for what's to come..

Likewise, despite the use of the C-word in Marianne Faithfull's "Why D'ya Do It", from her debut album 'Broken English', the sentiments expressed in the other verses are far more shocking.

It is fantastic stuff in the right mood and context, the swearing suiting the frenzied, paranoid, disjoint and intense view of the world commonly portrayed by the songs.

Going to see them at the O2 Academy on the 28th.

I’ve been enjoying ‘Other People’ by LP recently which contains a well aimed F word. The Anglo Saxon can be a thing of beauty, in literature, in song writing and conversation. While over use might be an issue, it would be like leaving a colour off the palette for some artists.

So you can't listen to Pink Floyd 'Animals' then? It's their best album, man! You won't be able to listen to 'The Final Cut' either, although I grant you that is less of a hardship.

What about films? Do you have the same rule? That's an awful lot of good films you can't watch.

I'm reminded of Colonel Kurtz from 'Apocalypse Now':

'We train our young men to drop fire on villages, but we won't allow them to write the word 'Fuck' on their aeroplanes because it's obscene.'
