I hate that expression. Back in my day we called it a 'casual affair.'

Blunt it may be, but it's no worse and a lot more honest than the American phrase: "friend with benefits".

Yes, it becomes very difficult to find a woman who checks all the boxes. If near impossible. I do like the term “Casual Affair”, makes it sound classy!

I know how the “Friends with benefits”, works out. You mutually decide to have a, “Casual Affair”, and the next morning she’s standing on your doorstep with her toothbrush! And if you don’t let her move in, you’re a son of a bitch and she never speaks to you again.

    Default Casual affair?

The word "affair" suggests the existence of infidelity, as that's what the term is mostly associated with. Therefore, if you're not in an existing relationship, and simply want sex with someone, then why dress it up as something else?

Quite simply, they're your 'fuck buddy'. Inelegant as that description may be, it's the truth!

Sounds logical, I’ll buy that. And is far more accurate than “Friends with Benefits”, that could mean many things.

I have a couple of mates who are on disability and get their rent paid. So I suppose they are friends with benefits. Wouldn't want to shag 'em though.

Not even for a (lightly worn) pair of plastic sandals and a Werther's Original?
