Apparently if you have more people living in the house than there are bedrooms you will save a fortune on water bills... however I have one bedroom and there is only me living here and I still save a massive amount for my water... Maybe you should give a meter a go Geoff as you have, I believe, 12 months to 'try' it out with the water company

As far as I can remember my incoming water bill is about £25 per half year and the outgoing bill is about double that so about £150 per year.. I think

About 4 years ago we were paying £850 per year un-metered water rates, big 4 bedroom house, two people living there.

Just me now, typical yearly charge metered, is about £180, but I'm careful.

Having a water meter would probably increase costs for me, as my jobbies usually need at least two flushes.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

Ah - so you're also prone to 'popping out' big fat (rather well-packed) 'beef olives'?

Are your beefies nicely marbled too, on the 'outer shell'?
