Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Out of interest, what grinder are you using with it?
Ascaso i-Mini. I guarantee you it is seriously good for the money. It is capable of grinding way finer than you will want.

My brother had one, then got a more expensive Rancillo - report was waste of money.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I have been looking at the rather lovely Rocket Fausto, as apparently my Isomac won't be good enough.
It seems to go pretty fine to me.

    Marco.
One downside of the Silvia is the single boiler. You will have to wait between pulling the coffee and steaming the milk. If you want to do another espresso afterwards, you will need to use a cooling flush....
You could avoid this by spending a bit more (actually double) on a dual boiler machine, like a Profitec 300 - https://www.bellabarista.co.uk/profi...al-boiler.html.
Depending on your usage, you really may not need to get a double boiler. Careful planning when making the drinks can solve the issue.

I think I will try my current grinder first, but a Giotto Type V is looking favourite.

    It is slightly more compact.

If that is too big, then something like a Rancilio Silvia.
You will need a decent grinder to go with it.
The Rancilio Silvia is the only all metal machine with brass boiler at anything like the price. It's been a best-seller for decades, for good reason. I'm a bit of a coffee addict, have two of them, one at home and one in the office. Used daily for the last 4 to 5 years.

Get a package with the Rancilio grinder, from here:
    https://www.coffeeitalia.co.uk/prodd...d=set-ranc-2uk

These are Italian wholesalers and sell every coffee machine known to man. Good prices, but funny accents.

The best value lever machine is this one:

Wilson, Luxman, Innuos, Holo May, Puritan, Garrard

You have space above the wine rack for a grinder, and the coffee machine should fir under the cupboard. Happy days....

Did you see my comments about the single boiler machines?
