    Top tip time

Never mind frothing devices, you need one of these, or in my case two of these.
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LCK8z66hnok

They are not much more than normal pitchers and you get perfectly aerated milk every time. The idea is to get enough air in it whilst keeping it under 65 degrees.

    £23 from here
    http://www.sarahscoffeecompany.co.uk...g-600ml-detail

    Or £27 for a larger 1L one.

The other thing is a nice heavy tamper.

It looks nice in a well designed way. The vision was there to create the sweetness.

In other words, it is a complement.

No other words at the moment. Cracked open a bottle of quite drinkable red.

Very tastefully done Marco, looks classy but homely and useble too.

There's a lot of oven going on there!

Cheers, John. That was exactly the brief. We wanted the kitchen to feel as if it had been part of the house already, working in sympathy with the surroundings, rather than a 'squeaky clean' new addition.

Yeah, lots of 'ovenage', lol... The Miele stuff is really well made.

From the top: main oven, then combination steam oven [great for fish] and microwave, and underneath that a 'warming drawer', which is ideal for the likes of resting cooked joints of meat, without them getting cold in the process, so should come in handy for the goose at Christmas!

We've gone for an induction hob too, the principle behind which is rather clever. If you watch these two short videos, you'll see:

Yes, very clever. The Miele stuff looks excellent. Like the idea of the warming drawer, even handy to preheat plates and serving dishes. Like the upstand around the worktops too, very neat.

Mmmm...goose sounds good. We had a roast leg of lamb on Sunday with roast potatoes and home made Armagh apple crumble YUM!

Yeah, the up-stands finish things off nicely. You can see them better in this pic:

We always have goose for Christmas lunch. And your lamb sounds lovely!

Btw, just out of shot on the left-hand side, is a rather nice 'valve-type' lamp we bought, shown here, before the worktop and shelving was installed:

    Cool, eh?

Looks great when it's lit, providing a rich warm glow, and nice 'ambient' lighting at night.

Yes, very cool. That's exactly the type of "warm glow" I want for my man cave. Must have a look around and see what's out there.
