Baad stay away Based in to my recent experience they do broad band for Post office as well and when moved I could only get 750 K no joke no spelling mistake when I asked to cancel contract was asked to either join the fibre service more expensive than many or pay the full 18 months price
they cancel that when one call the ombudsman and off-com

Now if you talk about Talk Talk the band it was ok but only got 2 lines of coke and no pay after the gig ...

Had a bad experience with their speeds too. We signed for the 16gb internet package, no TV and would only ever get a little above 4gbs. Was told it was due to the high traffic in our area and there was nothing they could do.

I would check on a broadband comparison website that checks your postcode to get an idea of the better provider for you.

With sky now and happy with their service.

speed usually is determined by your wiring and your distance from the exchange unless you use fibre. I used to get 2.5mb/s on normal bb, but with fibre to street using same wiring mostly I get 30mb/s
Your provider can also throttle your bb if they want either if you use a lot or at peak times.

We were switched to Talk Talk a couple of years ago when Tesco packed up their broadband service. We have fibre broadband/phone and TV which again, we don't use and pay £32 per month (is that too high?). Service seems good and the Indian? call centre has lovely people at the other end who bend over backwards to be courteous (think the enthusiastic young manager of the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel). Our router went awol recently after less than two years and after a few days to confirm it wasn't our line (they remote-monitored the times it dropped out over a 48 hour period), a replacement, which was a different model, was sent on a 24 hour delivery.

    So far, we can't complain

...Famous last words. Just tested our speed and this morning it's barely 10mb/s when it's usually in the lower to mid 20's

Didnt realise talk talk had an Indian call centre. BT has, or used to have too. Ive found them, although polite, to not really be much use up in Scotland. language barriers etc, and one of the reasons I stay with plusnet. I like speaking to someone of same natural language as our ear and accent is different to England.

I have the same problem with the BT Indian call centre. Nice people trying their best to be helpful, but the accent barrier can be real PITA.

I don't have a problem with their accent (I live in Leicester), but they really seem to struggle with a Lanarkshire accent.

Hmm I would probably stay away.....Didnt they take over the AOL UK deals and I had nothing but problems with AOL...internet dropping out, slow speeds and traffic capping.

Im with Plusnet now and Ive not had any problems...No Indian call centres not that Ive had to call Plusnet in ages. Indian call centres is a deal breaker for me these days

Once I had to have a long discussion with employment office in Glasgow, to this day still trying to work out what she said !
The indian call centre was a breeze by comparison and very polite as well.
