Mods:
1) Internal power cable to the mains board has been upgraded to cast stranded copper silver plated with PTFE insulation, shielded & grounded. YES
2) DC filter cap upgraded to Mundorf Supreme. YES
3) Both transformers placed on Neoprene sheets to remove casework resonance. YES
4) Transformers & several other components, + casework dampened with Dynamat Extreme. YES
5) Dac board support with an acoustic type from used in military tanks. Same foam used as support stilts for the power and output board. YES
6) Output capacitors were upgraded (larger uF as suggested by Cary themselves - better bass!). Now Mundorf Mcap MKP 4.7uF.
7) The Wima bypass caps were removed and upgraded to RelCap polystyrene caps. YES
8) Output tubes upgraded to Reflector Military types. Now Amperex Bugle Boys 6DJ8/ECC88.
9) AMR gold fuse upgrade. YES
10) Earth cable upgraded to solid core copper PTFE insulated (green). YES
11) DC filter cap from power board to output board now a Jantzen Cross Cap. YES
12) Dedicated Cardas earth post fitted. YES
13) Golden Dragon Tube Rings TR-2 (x2), fitted to valves. YES
14) Signal wires from the dac board to output board upgraded to SOST-26: Neotech pure cast solid silver (PTFE) wire, 1/0.45mm, shielded & grounded.
15) Power cable from the power board to the output board upgraded to solid core copper (PTFE) Kimber Kable, shielded & grounded.
16) All other ribbon cables shielded & grounded.
17) All transformer cables shielded & grounded.
18) On the output board, 18 electrolytic caps have been upgraded to Panasonic/Nichicon (SXE, FR, FM, RNU, UHW) to maximise ESR/Ripple Current parameters.
19) On the power board, 9 electrolytic caps have been upgraded to Panasonic/Nichicon (FR, UHW) to maximise ESR/Ripple Current parameters.
