Default Most Important Things To You

So what do you consider the most important things to you?

    Mine are:

    1) Time to spend how I want
    2) Own transport
    3) Contact lenses
    4) Health
    5) Friends and having time to spend with them
    6) Enough money to pay the bills
    7) My music/hifi

In no particular order... but they are all important to me

the most important, and most interesting things to me, would be:

reading, and especially reaching that sweet point, in which one actually "connects" with the book
consuming satisfying music, of course, served through some excellent set up in a relaxing atmosphere
yeah, health is pretty much important (since we are at health - did you know that urge to "list things" could be one of the first signs of OCD?)
sex and foods (beer), are obviously important part of my life
camping with pitfire, over which I could roast my food
photography, nature walks, driving scenic routes with my Ford M
    cameral live music

1/Health; always nice to make it to 8am. But, yes without your health and the health of your family, all the cash in the world wont compensate.
2/ A roof over your head, food in your belly, clean water to drink and sufficient warmth/clothing; decent bed helps too.
3/ at least 1 good friend.
4/ anything over that is a bonus.
    Regards,

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    In no particular order:

    Health
    Family
    Friends

Everything else is much less important, but things I enjoy most are:
Relaxing to music with a good single malt.
    Reading.
Spending time with my daughter, playing, reading to her, swimming or working round the house with her helping me. It takes four times longer, but is so much more fun.
Spending quality time with friends and family.

Health trumps all. Without good health, the rest is irrelevant.

Exactly, Dave (and John). It's amazing how some folk seem to think differently!

Also, surely to goodness, family and friends *must* come next, WAY before money. If they don't, there's something seriously wrong with either you (or your outlook on life).....

I'll also throw another one into the mix, which closely follows good health, and that's HAPPINESS.

And by that, I don't mean the occasional smile when something nice happens, but rather waking up *every morning* feeling good about yourself, your life, and who you are as a person, what you've achieved to date, emotionally, not just materialistically, and basically, feeling FULFILLED as a human being.

In that respect, having a 'happy head', and LIVING, not merely existing, for me, is priceless. There's a great little saying I heard recently, which sums things up perfectly, and that's: stop striving, and start THRIVING. That's something some folk should give some serious consideration, especially those who currently have a poor 'work/life balance'!
