ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

I've already threaded some of my shoes with thin black knicker elastic actually - my wife thought it was a very silly idea, especially as it was from her knickers.

Not yet but I do that middle aged thing of groaning/over emphasising when I sit or kneel down.

Im not that unfit so I wonder why I do it really.

I dont like doing up shoelaces. Ive got various pairs of shoes with elastic laces and there is a lot to be said for slip ons. Im getting so lazy in my older age that I have some Hi Tec lace ups with knackered backs which I just yank on for speed.

You cant beat the feel of a good lace up boot though

I did for a week or so up to a few days ago after doing my back in by the risky athletic activity of getting into the passenger seat of a mates car! Unbelievable... All I know is as my weight fully transferred to the seat I felt a painful twinge in my lower back, when I got out of the car I was aware of back pain and this got worse for a few days running until I was virtually crippled... putting socks on was about the worst bit! The lifting of one leg and placing it on the other was the difficult bit. Oddly I could still bend down no problem and riding the push bike was fine. Walking was slow, painful and involved that stance where you look like you've shit yourself! I'm glad to say I'm virtually back to normal now
