But I do also think that we should learn to embrace and appreciate the beauty of all the seasons, winter included. If you can do that, it'll undoubtedly help your mood and offset 'the blues'

Didn't stop me feeling though, as I've just described. I felt the same way up there about winter, as I do about it now, here in Wales.
I think much depends on who you are as a person (whether you're genuinely happy within yourself or not, especially in your own company), and your overall outlook on life, as it's all too easy feeling gloomy in bad weather, when your everyday life isn't exactly bright... I guess that some folks are just prone to having a moody disposition.
That's why it helps being an innately cheery big bastard!

Why do women describe the temperature as "freezing" when its about 12 deg C?
If we were coming out of Winter then 12 deg C would be described as a nice mild Spring day. Have I missed something or is that a different 12 deg C?
