Default Enlarging the spindle hole in an LP?

I have a copy of Massive Attack's 100th Window where the spindle hole is really too small to even attempt to fit it.
What is a sensible way of enlarging it? I can pick up 7.3mm drill bits for a couple of quid, and an adjustable reamer for about a tenner.

Any thoughts/experience that people would like to share?

I've noticed this more and more. My box set of Bowie's 'Who can I be now?' needed every hole enlarged (ohhhh matron ). If it's just a tiny bit tight I use the outside of a BIC pen (the old style yellow ones) and gently ream the hole. but an adjustable reamer or correct size drill would do the job.

A tapered reamer should do it, coupled with restraint.
That, and making sure that the material you ream falls away from the record

    That's what I do.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I am reminded of a user on another forum who put his Knosti in his cordless drill to spin the discs dry!!

    You could drill them out

Done this a few times, carefully, with a penknife blade, turned slowly and carefully, checked and if necessary turned again until hole fits spindle smoothly

I have just ordered a couple of 7.3 mm drill bits. I may take the .004" off then, but will measure them before I use them to make sure they are not too big.

I use a 7.3mm drill bit, but I have been known to use the pointed end of a potato peeler which works just as well.
